CPHA’s Mission is to help local, underprivileged and at-risk kids play and enjoy hockey.
CPHA has a limited supply of free equipment available for new players to use on a first-come, first-served basis.
In cooperation with The City of Chubbuck, CPHA’s goal is to build a permanent Community Center & Ice Rink.
This new permanent indoor facility will house not only our hockey program,
but also host a variety of other exciting recreational events for Southeast Idaho Kids and Families to enjoy.
Currently the nearest ice rinks are 50 miles away in Idaho Falls Idaho and 108 miles in Logan Utah.
CPHA believes that any major indoor Sports or Events Center in the Chubbuck/Pocatello should include a capability to support Ice Hockey/Skating.

Chubbuck Location:
The league currently plays on Chubbuck’s outstanding outdoor hockey rink in Capell Park.
The rink’s construction was a cooperative effort between:
The City of Chubbuck, Pape Custom Concrete, Idaho Power, and a variety of other community sponsors.
But, this outdoor rink is only the first step in our larger goal of creating
The Chubbuck Pocatello Hockey Association (CPHA) invites you to help build the most exciting indoor recreation complex ever constructed in Southeast Idaho!
History:
· 1997 – The Chubbuck Pocatello Hockey Association (CPHA) was formed to provide hockey opportunities for Southeast Idaho Youth.
· 2002 The league incorporated and is a registered 501 (c)(3) corporation with the IRS.
· 2006 Began play Chubbuck’s outstanding outdoor hockey rink in Capell Park
· 2009 Joined Idaho Amateur Hockey Association & USA Ice Hockey
· 2010 Began sanctioned USA Ice Hockey play with Idaho Falls, Salmon Idaho and Logan Utah.
Capital Construction:
· Phase 1) Build Outdoor Inline Hockey Rink – Completed
· Phase 2) Locate & Purchase Zamboni Ice Resurfacer – Complete
· Phase 3) Construct outdoor Natural Ice Rink – 2009 Successful
· Phase 4) Enclose Ice Rink with Protective Board system – 2010 Successful
· Phase 5) Install Refrigerated Ice making system to extend ice time and cover existing rink.
· Phase 6) Expand Permanent Indoor Community Center Ice Hockey/Skating Sports Facility.
