<description>Asad- I will provide a link to the Ontario Recreational Facilities Association manual for creating and maintaining outdoor ice. It includes some great information for creating ice on a variety of surfaces and conditions. Aside from having the necessary temperature range for building ice, a very level foundation will reduce the amount of water needed initially to become level. The reflective properties of a using a lighter colored foundation will reduce heat absorption from the sun which leads to ice loss during the season. Commercially produced ice rink liner kits are available from several sources online.
