Megan- Thank you for your question and for wanting to help our young people develop in this sport that means so much to us. USA hockey is the governing body for Ice Hockey in the United States. All certifications are administered through their Coaches Education Program or CEP. Log on to the USA Hockey web site Coaches tab, then select Coaching Clinics, click the link to view all clinics. Select your district, city, and state to find the clinic closest to your area. Beginning with Level 1 the clinics progress to Level 2 then 3 etc., and the previous level is always a prerequisite for the next level. Clinic season for Levels 1 -3 typically runs from September 1st through December 31st. This should get you started and best of luck to you!
I would like to start coaching either high school or college hockey and have no certification. Where would I begin the process and how do I go abouts doing it?
Sandro- Courses cannot be completed online. If you tell me your location and which Certification Level you desire- I would be glad to provide a schedule of classes available in your area. Thanks.
Can the course be completed online
I need to locate a Coaching clinic to get my (CEP) card Can you offer me any help in locating one.
